Overview

Develop your KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS in how to carry out a VISUAL WELDING INSPECTION on this training course. This course is ideally suited to Welders & other Quality Control personnel currently working in the welding & fabrication industry, as well as new starters, apprentices & trainees who are looking to develop their career in Visual Welding Inspection.

This course is presented by our highly experienced, professionally qualified Course Tutor over 1-day.

The course commences with a review of Welding Fundamentals, before discussing TYPES of WELDING IMPERFECTIONS that occur in welded joins, & how to avoid them. The requirements for how to carry out a Visual Welding Inspection to EN ISO 17637 are also covered, as are specific WELD QUALITY REQUIREMENTS For STEEL STRUCTURES in the UK & EU are also covered (BS EN 1090 - 2 & NSSS.)

For Candidates who are in covering the weld quality requirements for the welding of structural aluminium alloys, railway vehicles to EN 15085, or the welding of concrete reinforcing bars to ISO 17660, then these topics can also be covered upon request.

There are no specific qualification entry requirements, but candidates should be able to perform calculations from straightforward mathematical formulae & interpret data in tabular form. Candidates are assessed on the course by continuous assessments and successful candidates will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement in ‘Visual Welding Inspection’

A comprehensive, full cover, training handbook is also provided which also serves as a valuable reference after completion of training.
